Ngân wins taekwondo gold in S Korea

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese martial artist Hồ Thị Kim Ngân won a gold medal at the second competition day of the Chuncheon South Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships on Tuesday.

Ngân beat Japanese Eguchi Mahiro in the final of the women’s under  四 九kg category.

Ngân has practiced taekwondo for four years and won a gold medal in the  四 四kg division in the World Junior Taekwondo Championships held in Canada last year.

Ngân, from the southern province of An Giang, also won gold medals in the  四 一kg category in the Southeast Asian and Asia tournament in  二0 一 五.

The Chuncheon South Korea Open has attracted more than  一,000 athletes from  六0 countries and territories. It will end on Friday. — VNS
